The latest layer 2/3 managed switch from Curtiss Wright is available on a 3U VPX embedded platform. The VPX3-685 is said to be the first VPX card in the 68x series of managed switches for professional defence work.
The card targets the secure IPv4/v6 intra-platform networks used in vehicle and maritime environments. The card is designed to prevent unauthorised access to the deployed network and will protect applications from hostile attacks in the form of viruses, IP spoofing, denial of service and trojans.
