The device supports alpha blending, a visual effect rendering technique, with a built-in feature that automatically updates alpha values on the basis of a customisable number and duration of transparency gradations.
It supports picture-in-picture display, displays 24 bpp (RGB 8:8:8) full-colour and supports wide QVGA LCD panels.
Specifications include: QVGA - WQVGA 24 bpp or QVGA - WVGA 8 bpp resolution; built-in SRAM (384 KB) display buffer; 8/16-bit data bus, direct/indirect, SPI (mode 0/3) CPU interface; RGB 8:8:8, RGB 5:6:5, 8 bpp greyscale colour depth; 24-bit TFT panel, STN panel (colour, monochrome) panel interface; 3.3 and 1.5 V supply.
