Emco FS series miniature DC to high-voltage DC converters

Powerbox has released the FS series of miniature DC to high-voltage DC converters from Emco.

The series uses Emco’s high-voltage power conversion technology and adds ‘Smart Features’ to enhance long-term reliability and survivability in harsh applications.

This range outputs ranging from 200 to 6000 VDC in miniature, PC mount packages. Improved performance and reliability are claimed using high-voltage power conversion technology.

Low ripple and low EMI/RFI allow easy design integration into compact, sensitive equipment. Wide input operating range starts at just 0.7 V_in, and good input-to-output linearity provide control of the high voltage.

Arc protection, short-circuit protection, output surge current limiting, overtemperature protection and input overvoltage protection create a robust module capable of withstanding abuse while maximising reliability.

Automatic non-latching shutdown and an error signal output are activated when preset temperature or input voltage limits are exceeded. An externally controlled disable function is standard.
