Advantech has released its next generation of compact embedded computer systems. The ARK-3380 Series box Computers are designed for space critical embedded applications requiring powerful computing capability, fanless operation, low power use, extreme reliability and ruggedness, flexible I/O configuration and long product life support.

Designed to offer maximum computing power in a small footprint, the ARK-3380 Series can be fully customizable, offering a range of processing engines, including storage, connectivity and I/O configurations that allow integrators to create a scaleable solution for their application.

Featuring low voltage Intel Celeron/Pentium M processors up to 1.4 GHz, and a foot print of only 10.41" x 2.72" x 5.4" (264.5 mm x 69.2 mm x 137.25 mm) with protected housing, the rugged ARK-3380 Series can be mounted inside machinery or other equipment/housing, or simply left standalone on a wall or DIN rail mount. The family of ARK series products accept a wide range of DC power inputs with choice of CFC SSD drive or 2.5" HDD. The cast aluminum chassis provides excellent protection from EMI, shock (5G), vibration, dust, cold and heat, and also acts as a functional heat sink to ensure low temperature operation ranges of (-20 ~ + 60°C).

The ARK series includes the 3380, 3381 & 3382 models. Each model is designed for a specific vertical market applications. The ARK-3380 offers comprehensive multimedia I/O support featuring dual display, TV-out, DVI, LVDS and SC97 stereo audio. This series targets applications like POS/POI, intelligent traffic monitoring, and machine vision systems. The ARK-3381 comes with multiple I/O support featuring 5 x RS-232/422/484, 1 x RS-232 and 1 x RS-232 (Rx/Tx only without handshaking). The ARK-3381 supports applications for environment and facilities monitoring, kiosks, tolling and ticketing, and entrance controls as well as medical devices with multiple device connectivity. The ARK-3382 supports intensive networking capability by offering 4 x 10/100 Base-T Ethernet plus LAN bypass function support. This makes the ARK-3382 ideal for industrial and security gateway applications which require intensive LAN communication, such as firewall or VPN.
