GE Intelligent Platforms EC12 6U CompactPCI single board computer

GE Intelligent Platforms has released the EC12, a 6U CompactPCI single board computer, designed for embedded computing environments in which entry and mid-level performance is required.

Using the Intel Celeron 1.86MHz processor and 2 GB of DDR3 memory to enable it to host a broad range of applications, the computer provides extensive connectivity including four gigabit ethernet ports, five USB ports, dual VGA and DVI outputs for displays, three COM ports and four SATA disk drive interfaces. Board support for Windows, Linux and VxWorks is provided.

The SBC is specifically designed to provide robust operation, featuring soldered memory and an optional solid state disk drive for improved reliability and the option to back up the on-board BIOS to maximise uptime.

A high performance XMC or PMC slot provides users with the opportunity to expand functionality in line with specific application requirements.
