Panel 1080-845 industrial computer

Backplane Systems Technology has released Axiom's 8.4" TFT industrial panel PC, the Panel 1080-845. It has been designed for HMIs (human machine interfaces), industrial control, transportation and other space critical applications.

The device is equipped with an NS geode GX1 233 MHz (300 MHz optional) single board computer. The board features up to 128 MB SDRAM in one 144 pin SODIMM socket, VGA with 4 MB V-RAM, 10/100 Mbps ethernet, CompactFlash socket, 32 bit audio, four serial ports, eight channel digital I/O and a PS/2 keyboard/mouse interface.

The PC offers two optional PCMCIA expansion slots, 2.5" hard disk drive bay, slim-line CD-ROM drive bay and optional floppy disk drive (via external connection).

The 8.4" TFT SVGA LCD has a brightness of 150 nits and an 800 x 600 resolution. The front panel has a plastic Mylar lamination and is resistant to dust and liquid (IP65). An optional resistive type touchscreen is available.
