Internet downloader

Internode claims to be the first company to offer chumby, an internet device, in Australia.

The device constantly streams parts of the internet to its 3.5" colour touch screen.

Streamed content ranges from weather forecasts and sports scores to eBay bids and online radio stations.

Needing only a power outlet and Wi-Fi coverage, it provides touch screen-based access to internet content in the kitchen, the lounge, the backyard or on a bedside table.

Once configured and registered, it displays a constant stream of widgets — tiny applications that are downloaded to appear on the device’s 320 x 240 pixel screen.
