The RISC-based Kontron panel PC Pico Client with 5.7″ touch screen is said to be a compact and energy-saving industrial panel PC.

The touch screen (640 x 480) is designed for control tasks in machinery and equipment but is also suitable for mobile devices in vehicles.

The Jazelle extension integrated in the 200 MHz/32-bit ARM9 processor runs Java code directly on the hardware, which speeds up cross-platform Java applications by up to eight times.

For networked and control tasks, two real-time ethernet 100 Mb interfaces are implemented so that both vertical and horizontal networking topologies are possible. This makes the device suitable as a human-machine interface/thin client for networked machine operating concepts, as well as for building automation.

For connecting peripherals, such as RFID or bar-code readers, light curtains and many other devices, the PC features one USB and COM port (RS232 or RS485).
