Laird Connectivity’s Pinnacle 100 multi-wireless modem combines the benefits of Bluetooth 5 technology with low-power cellular LTE connectivity in a single, fully integrated solution. Fully certified for radio regulatory, cellular and network carrier purposes, the cellular modem is a low-power solution for battery-operated devices operating at the edge of Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It is also suitable for connected home, predictive maintenance, retail, security and environmental monitoring applications.

The product features an onboard Arm Cortex-M4F core, full Bluetooth 5 and LTE-M/NB-IoT capabilities, and the Zephyr real-time operating system (RTOS). The versatile modem offers antenna flexibility for designers, supporting integrated and external options and external options. The RTOS is said to speed up the application design process while reducing bill of materials costs, enabling new use cases using long-range Bluetooth-enabled sensors. The highly integrated modem also simplifies common activities such as configuring and creating an LTE connection in a product by using a mobile application on a smartphone.

The modem is fully certified to FCC, IC, CE and Bluetooth SIG, as well as PTCRB and GCF, with AT&T, Verizon and Vodafone end device-certification pending.
