Vishay has added to its 592D family of low-profile tantalum capacitors with 2200 µF devices in 2 mm case height and 3300 µF in 2.5 mm case height.

Part of the Sprague Tantamount range, the capacitors are designed for low-profile applications, such as wireless GPRS PCMCIA modem cards and mobile phones, requiring very high capacitance.

The devices' low ESR values help to reduce power consumption, while their compact case size enables the design of lighter, smaller, more portable end products.
