Maxim MAX9622 precision operational amplifier

Tuesday, 19 October, 2010 | Supplied by: Avnet Electronics Marketing

Maxim has introduced the MAX9622, a precision operational amplifier with high gain bandwidth that employs an auto-trimming technique to precisely calibrate the input-offset voltage (Vos) on power-up.

This enables the device to achieve a Vos of 100 µV(max) to allow the use of a small sense resistor, so improving system efficiency by reducing sense resistor power consumption.

The amp is suitable for active filter design and low-side current sensing in power modules and motor vehicle power supplies.

It features a rail-to-rail output, a 50 MHz gain bandwidth and an input common-mode voltage range that extends below ground. These features enable it to interact with a wide range of high-speed applications while providing high-frequency sampling and fast recovery from saturation.

The device is packaged in a tiny (2 x 2 mm) 5-pin SC70 and is fully specified over the -40 to +125°C motor vehicle temperature range.
