Maxim MAX98089 stereo audio codec
The MAX98089 from Maxim is an integrated stereo audio codec designed to improve audio performance and prevent speaker damage.
With its low power, audio performance, and small wafer-level package (WLP), it is suitable for portable multimedia applications such as tablets, netbooks and mobile phones.
Features include: integrated jack detection; low DAC-to-headphone idle power consumption of 5.6 mW; Flex Sound audio technology to optimise signal level and frequency response and limit distortion and power at the output; supports Linux and other OS platforms; automatic gain control (AGC) and a noise gate to improve voice conversion and optimise microphone input signals; integrates a Class H stereo headphone amplifier with a dual-mode charge pump; low-EMI, stereo Class D speaker amplifiers; specified for -40 to 85°C temperature range; available in two sizes, 3.8 x 3.3 mm, 0.4 pitch, 63-bump WLP or 7 x 7 mm, 56-pin TQFN.
