Modelithics Vishay VJ HIFREQ Series MLCC modelling

To help designers simulate circuit performance and reduce time to market, Modelithics is now offering modelling for Vishay Vitramon VJ HIFREQ series high-frequency surface-mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) in the 0402 and 0603 case sizes.

Modelithics offers comprehensive measurement and modelling services as well as scalable measurement-based models that integrate seamlessly with popular electronic design automation (EDA) tools. Modelling for VJ HIFREQ series devices allows designers to choose key parameters such as capacitance value, circuit board materials and thickness, and solder pad size. This is said to provide more advanced design analysis than S-parameter file-based models.

Modelithics plans to issue versions of its libraries that include Vishay’s HIFREQ MLCCs for key simulation programs, such as Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS), National Instruments/AWR Microwave Office and Keysight Genesys. Current Modelithics customers can request that data be added to their systems.
