Osram has introduced the MX ECE and SX ECE LEDs - high-power ceramic components designed for use in daytime running lights in the front light clusters of mid-range vehicles.
The LEDs represent a key addition to the company’s motor vehicle lighting range.
The LEDs are 3 x 3 mm2 and use ThinGan chip technology. The MX ECEs are made as 1 W components, provide a light output of 70 to 95 lm and can be operated at temperatures up to 150 °C.
At 0.5 W, the SX ECEs have the same dimensions and thermal stability as the MX version, with a light output of 40 to 60 lm.
