NXP i.MX RT106L and RT106F crossover processors
NXP Semiconductors has released the i.MX RT106L and i.MX RT106F crossover processors. The solution-specific EdgeReady devices feature the implementation of an Arm Cortex-M7 core operating at up to 600 MHz for local command voice applications and real-time response for facial recognition, respectively, in a range of Internet of Things (IoT) and smart industrial designs.
The i.MX RT106L crossover processor enables developers to easily add far-field, local command-based voice control capabilities to a range of IoT, smart retail and smart industry devices. The processor features NXP’s turnkey set of solutions for automatic speech recognition, including an analog front-end DSP, media player and streamer, and an automatic speech recognition engine for local commands and wake words. The processor is integrated into the SLN-LOCAL-IOT Solution for Local Voice Control — a fully integrated hardware and software solution that allows OEMs to rapidly develop products that feature low-latency private voice control.
The i.MX RT106F crossover processor specifically targets facial recognition applications. The processor is licensed to operate the comprehensive NXP OASIS run-time library for facial recognition, providing developers with access to a suite of features including camera drivers, face detection, confidence measuring and many other essential tools. Additionally, the processor provides the core for the SLN-VIZN-IOT Solution for Face Recognition. The self-contained, software and hardware platform enables out-of-the-box implementation, reducing time to market for facial recognition devices.
