Peregrine PE42520 and PE42521 SPDT RF switches

Wednesday, 27 November, 2013 | Supplied by: Wireless Components

Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation has released two RF single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switches. The PE42520 and PE42521 are pin-compatible upgraded versions of the PE42552, with high power handling, fast settling and switching time, and high isolation.

The switches operate from 9 kHz to 13 GHz. They are suitable for a range of high-frequency wideband applications, including test and measurement, automatic test equipment (ATE), wireless backhaul, and aerospace and defence. Both devices are offered in 3 x 3 mm QFN packages.

The switches are manufactured on Peregrine’s UltraCMOS process, a variation of silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology on a sapphire substrate, offering the performance of GaAs with the economy and integration of conventional CMOS. The company’s HaRP technology enhancements enable fast settling time, no gate or phase lag and no drift in insertion loss and phase.
