Pickering Interfaces 40–520 family PXI matrix modules

Thursday, 26 May, 2016 | Supplied by: Scientific Devices Australia

Pickering Interfaces has announced the expansion of its range of 1-pole high-density PXI matrix modules. The 40–520 family of PXI matrix modules has high-density matrices with 22 different configurations and up to 256 crosspoints to suit a large variety of user requirements.

The choice of six bus widths (x16, x12, x8, x6, x4 and x2) enables solutions using the company’s instrumentation quality reed relays. The relays offer long life, with good low-level switching performance and contact resistance stability.

The range includes robust 1 A 150 VDC switching, simple single PCB construction and easy reed relay maintenance. It comes with Pickering’s Built-in Relay Self-Test (BIRST) and is supported by eBIRST Switching System Test Tools. These tools provide a quick and simple way of finding relay failures within the modules.

Typical applications include signal routing in automatic test equipment (ATE) and data acquisition (DAQ) systems.
