Power inductors

Murata has enhanced its radial lead and toroidal surface-mount inductors with the addition of four ranges of RoHS-compliant components.

The 1500 and 1900R series are general-purpose radial leaded inductors suitable for filtering in low to medium current applications such as power supplies.

The 4200 and 4300 series toroidal surface-mount inductors are designed for switching AC/DC power supplies and DC/DC converters.

Both the series offer low DC resistance. The 1500 is available with current ratings up to 16.2 A I

_DC and inductance values that range from 1.0 µH to 1.0 mH. The 1900R series is rated to 7.8 A I_DC with inductance values of between 4.7 µH and 100 mH. Custom parts are available on request. The toroidal construction aids design engineers by helping minimise EMI issues. The 4200 series has a current rating of up to 15.4 A I_DC and a choice of inductance values between 1.27 and 17.6 µH. The 4300 series comprises parts with inductance values ranging from 2.1 to 4.0 µH and a maximum current rating of 22.4 A I_DC.
