Power-saving monitors

ViewSonic has introduced two additions to its VA series of LCDs designed specifically for government, office and classroom use — the 19" widescreen VA1928wm and VA1918wm.

With a 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, both are suitable for displaying spreadsheets, presentations and online research.

The monitoring feature a 16:10 aspect ratio enabling dual-page viewing and simple, quick application navigation while the 5 ms ClearMotiv video response provides blur-free fast action video.

Both models include ECO mode for a choice between standard (100%), optimise (75%) and conserve (60%) backlight power to extend monitor life and reduce power consumption.

ECO mode also provides visual ergonomic benefits for prolonged display and, when selected, the reduced power consumption means less impact on the environment.

Both displays include a thin-bezel design, built-in speakers, a VESA mount for wall mounting, integrated power supply and a clean cable management system, and the VA1928wm also includes DVI inputs.
