RECOM R0.25S DC/DC converters

RECOM has released the R0.25S series of converters in open frame SMD design with improved efficiency and extended ambient temperature. The compact 0.25 W single output devices can be used in many industrial low power applications and are also approved for medical applications.

They offer ¼ W output from input voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24 DC. The standard output voltage options are 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15 or 24 DC. The conversion efficiency is up to 70%.

The series offer 1 kVDC or 3 kVDC isolation and optional continuous short circuit protection. They are UL60950-1, EN60950-1 and EN60601-1 certified and conform to RoHS 6/6.

The devices have a compact low profile case, with dimensions of 12.75 x 10.7 x 6.7 mm, and are available pre-packed as tape and reel for use with automatic insertion machines. The enclosed open frame design means that they are suitable for vapour phase soldering as well as standard reflow ovens.
