The RH850 family of 32-bit microcontrollers for automotive applications has been introduced. They are based on 40 nm MONOS (metal oxide nitride oxide silicon) embedded flash technology, said to make the company the first to provide this technology in the motor vehcle sector.

The family is based on the 32-bit core that provides ultralow power use and the computing power of a 32-bit core.
