Renesas has developed, what it claims to be, the first 40 nm memory intellectual property for motor vehicle real-time applications. The company will also be the first to launch 40 nm embedded flash microcontrollers for vehicle applications using this 40 nm flash technology, with samples available by autumn 2012.
