Crystek Corporation has released its CVS575S-500 — a 500 MHz voltage controlled SAW (surface acoustic wave) oscillator, or VCSO.
SAW provides low-noise and low-jitter performance with true sinewave output.
The lead-free RoHS-compliant device is offered in a 5 x 7.5 x 2.5 mm SMD package. Phase noise is at -135 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset. The oscillator has no sub-harmonic and the second harmonic is typically -14 dBc. The oscillator operates from -20 to +70 °C from a +3.3 V supply.
Applications for the CVS575S-500 VCSO include frequency translation,test and measurement, avionics, point-to-point radios and multipoint radios.
