The Sierra Wireless AirPrime MC8801 embedded module supports HSPA+ dual-channel networks and peak network downlink speeds of 42 Mbps.
Built to the PCI Express mini card form factor, the device also provides UMTS/HSPA and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE network access to enable roaming on high-speed networks around the world.
The module incorporates in-built GPS for applications targeting location-based services.
The module is suitable for developers incorporating high-speed wireless connectivity into a variety of OEM devices and applications including video streaming, security, consumer broadband, enterprise-class routers and embedded computing applications.
