Stackpole’s CSRF series of SMD current sense resistors is now available in resistances down to 5 mΩ in a 0402 chip size. This low resistance, combined with the small package size, allows for efficiency improvements in small electronic devices and potential downsizing for existing designs.
Lower resistance values allow for higher current handling for a given resistant size and lower self-heating at a given current level.
