Altronic Distributors has added a range of super capacitors to its component range.
The electric double-layer capacitors are supplied in two types depending on manufacturer requirements.
For high current peak power backup applications, a 2.7 V range is available in 5, 25 and 100 F. When low-current long period backup is required, 2.3 V versions in 10, 50 and 220 F may be used. These are for lighting, traffic signage, memory and emergency backup.
