APM Hexseal has announced its IQ (Installs Quickly) range of sealing boots for retrofitting to existing control panels.
The series features an integral bonded concentric (Concentro-Nut) aluminium nut that screws directly onto and completely surrounds the existing front-panel switch bushing nut.
It also speeds up the mounting time on original equipment assembly. The series provides protection to IP66/68 against salt spray, ice build-up, sand, dust, dirt, sunlight, ozone, fungus and most solvents and lubricants.
The design fits most switch/breaker brands with a 15/32-32 bushing, requiring a 24.7 mm boot height. Offered in standard black or grey, the company will also colour match. No O-rings, washers or adhesives are needed. The boot design also includes a sealing rib that creates a vacuum seal around the mounting hole, preventing gas or liquid seepage from reaching exposed circuitry.
