Teledyne DALSA Z-Trak LP1 3D laser profilers

Teledyne DALSA has introduced the Z-Trak LP1 series of 3D laser profilers for industrial imaging and factory automation. The profilers deliver precise height measurements in an ergonomically designed compact unit, with a powerful FIR-peak detector.

The profilers are factory-calibrated and bundled with Teledyne DALSA’s Sapera Processing 8 Runtime or Sherlock 8 3D software for easy set-up and deployment. In addition, the series features a GigE Vision interface, supports the GenICam standard and is easy to interface with other off-the-shelf software.

The laser profilers support Power over Ethernet (PoE) and feature general-purpose inputs/outputs and flexible mounting options. They are suitable for inline metrology, volumetric measurements, parts inspection and identification, and bin-picking applications for semiconductor, electronics, factory automation and logistics.

Other features include: a robust FIR-Peak detector algorithm delivering stable operations; blue and red lasers; imaging of objects with different surface reflectance; an optimised optical path ensuring consistent results across the entire measurement range; a wide selection of models with a measurement range from 10 to 1000 mm; compact IP67 housing for harsh operating environments; and availability in laser class 2M and 3R for wide-ranging operating conditions.
