Kontron has announced it now manufactures the first module to provide an NVIDIA Tegra 3 ARM processor in the scalable ULP-COM standard form factor. It says that the ultralow-power, low-profile ARM-based computer-on-module was specifically designed to extend the proven and scalable computer-on-modules-based usage model to new modules with ARM and SoC processors.

The Kontron ULP-COM-sAT3 module integrates NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad Core ARM 1.2 GHz technology to provide a scalable building block for industrial tablet and imaging-centric applications where power consumption must be extremely low. Applications include POS/POI, infotainment, digital signage, security, surveillance, medical and military markets.
