Bivar has released the UVTZ series of high-efficiency ultraviolet LEDs.
Available in 3 mm (UV3TZ) and 5 mm (UV5TZ) through-hole packages, each comprises four tightly binned wavelengths — 390, 395, 400, 405 — with a wavelength tolerance range from ±2.5 nm.
The series provided 10-20 mW output while consuming 15 mA and has a rated operational life of 10,000 h compared with 1000 to 2000 h of other devices.
Both packages are available with a narrow 15° and a slightly wider 30° viewing angle. Each LED contains an integrated zener diode to provide enhanced ESD protection.
All devices are resistant to shock and vibration vs traditional filament-based light sources. The series is RoHS compliant.
