Moxa has released a series of industrial unmanaged ethernet switches, the EDS-200A series.

The series includes both 5- and 8-port models that come with a rugged, IP30 protected, aluminium housing and redundant dual power inputs with 9.6 to 60 VDC or 18 to 30 VAC for flexibility with a variety of industrial applications.

In addition, the wide operating temperature range (-10 to 60°C) and DIN rail or wall-mounting capability make the plug-and-play EDS-200A ethernet switches suitable for industrial applications.

The EDS-200A series provides redundant dual power inputs and can operate on either 12/24/48 VDC (9.6 to 60 VDC) or 18 to 30 VAC.

The two power inputs can be connected simultaneously to live AC or DC power sources. If one of the power inputs fails, the other live source enhances system reliability by backing up the switch’s power needs automatically.
