Vincotech A1084-A, A1084-B, A1035-H GPS receiver/antenna modules

Richardson Electronics has introduced Vincotech’s A1084-A and A1084-B GPS receiver modules and A1035-H GPS receiver/antenna module.

Both the A1084-A/B modules allow direct connection with either passive or active antennas.

The A1084-A has a second input for external active antennas for applications where an external antenna is used for normal operation and an internal antenna is used as a fallback option (eg, in safety and security applications). It allows the application itself to switch from one antenna input to the other, as necessary.

Features of the A1084-A and the A1084-B include: good receive sensitivity, -159 dBm in tracking mode; 15 x 15 mm circuit footprint; easy design-in using either internal or external antenna solutions; low power consumption, 86 mW average in tracking mode; fast time to first fix, typically less than 35 s (cold start); full extended temperature range: -40 to +85°C.

The A1035-H is a combined receiver/antenna module, with a footprint of 16.5 x 30.5 mm. It includes both the A1084-A unit and a GPS patch antenna.
