Vishay 1 W Little Star SMD power LED range

Friday, 23 March, 2012 | Supplied by: Braemac Pty Ltd

Vishay has expanded its Little Star family of SMD power LEDs with a series of 1 W cool, neutral and warm white devices that use nitride phosphor for enhanced colour stability over temperature.

Combining high brightness with a compact package outline, the VLMW712xxx LEDs offer a low thermal resistance of 10 K/W and high luminous intensity.

Featuring an SMD power package, the LEDs are claimed to be among the most robust and light-efficient products available. The devices are designed for a high current drive of up to 350 mA and offer extremely bright luminous intensity to 33,500 mcd typical and a typical luminous flux from 67.2 lm to 113.6 lm.

They are suitable for conventional lighting and specialised applications. Typical end products will include traffic signal lights, architectural lighting, tube lights, indoor and outdoor video and advertising lighting, garden lights and general lighting.

The devices have a 60° half-intensity angle and 120° viewing angle and are compatible with IR-reflow solder processes.
