Vishay Intertechnology QUAD HIFREQ series MLCCs

Vishay Intertechnology has enhanced its QUAD HIFREQ series of high-power, surface-mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs). Designed for high-frequency RF applications in MRI coils and generators, RF instrumentation, telecom base stations, lasers and military communications systems, the devices feature an extended capacitance range down to 0.1 pF in the 0505 case size and 0.2 pF in the 1111 case size; tighter capacitance tolerance down to ± 0.05 pF; and non-magnetic copper terminations.

Offering high serial resonant frequency (SRF) and parallel resonant frequency (PRF), the MLCCs are designed to provide performance in critical applications such as UHF and microwave RF power amplifiers, filter and impedance matching networks, timing circuits, mixers and oscillators. The series features a broad working voltage range from 200 to 7200 V and a wide capacitance range from 0.1 to 5100 pF in the quad 0505, 1111, 2525 and 3838 case sizes. The devices offer an ageing rate of 0% per decade and an operating temperature range of 55 to +125°C.

The capacitors are available with RoHS-compliant nickel barrier terminations with 100% matte tin plate for reflow assembly and with a lead-bearing (minimum 4%) termination finish. The devices are halogen-free.
