Wireless CPU

The Wavecom Q26 Extreme 3G/HSPA module offers tri-band HSPA with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as a programmable Wireless CPU. It claims to be the first 3G/HSPA module with the ability to host and run an application on board the module.

The module supports antenna diversity and runs at peak data rates of 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and 2 Mbps HSUPA. The built-in duo-core application processor provides dedicated application processing ARM9 power at up to 104 MHz, programmable in C and/or Lua.

Footprint compatibility with Q2686 or Q2687 Wireless CPU devices ensures smooth product development as well as simplifying the process of upgrading.

The module together with Wavecom’s Open AT Software Suite enables developers to natively execute applications on a platform created specifically for the machine-to-machine industry. M2M Studio is the latest integrated development environment that makes developing embedded cellular M2M applications easier and faster.
