Wolfspeed CGD15FB45P1 SiC MOSFET driver

Friday, 05 February, 2016 | Supplied by: Wireless Components

Wolfspeed has announced a silicon carbide MOSFET driver, the CGD15FB45P1, featuring six output channels, an isolated power supply, a direct-mount low inductance design, short-circuit protection, and overtemperature and undervoltage protection.

The device represents the latest generation of gate driver boards for Wolfspeed’s CCS020M12CM2 and CCS050M12CM2 1200 V SiC MOSFET power modules in two-level, three-phase inverter applications. The gate driver has a smaller footprint and enhanced functionality over the previous version, including increased power per channel that enables the maximum switching frequency to increase to 250 kHz.
