High-speed diode

14 April, 2009 by

The CMAD4448 120 V, 250 mA ultra high speed switching diode in the FEMTOmini SOT-923 package is designed for applications requiring a high-speed diode in an ultra-small package. The device uses 50% less board space compared with the SOD-0523, and has a 32% lower package profile.

Rectifier diodes

14 April, 2009 by

The Powerex R700 and R701 general-purpose semiconductor rectifier diode series features high current ratings up to 550 A and high voltage ratings to 4400 using an industry-standard housing.

Industrial drives supply and license agreement

30 January, 2009

Fuji Electric Device Technology and Semikron International have signed a supply and license agreement.

Ultra low leakage diode

08 May, 2008

Central Semiconductor has released the CMAD6001 ultra low leakage diode in the SOD-923 package. This device is a 100 V, 250 mA diode with a low leakage current (IR) of 0.5 nA max., and low capacitance of 2.0 pF max.

Converter boards

09 July, 2007

The Prisma II series of RGB/DVI/video converter boards from Apollo Display Technologies provides a range of solutions with analog control for connecting TFT LCDs to standard graphics and/or video interfaces.

LCD screen enhancer

17 January, 2005

LG Electronics has unveiled what it claims is the first picture enhancing chip, the Flatron f Engine designed for LCD monitors.

LCD that displays on both sides

12 May, 2004

Mitsubishi Electric has developed a ‘reversible’ liquid crystal display that can display images on both its front and rear surfaces.

Diode developed for faster electronics

14 October, 2003

Engineers have designed a new diode that transmits more electricity - conducting 150,000 A per square centimetre. Unlike other diodes in its class, called tunnel diodes, the new diode is compatible with silicon, so manufacturers could build it into mainstream electronic devices such as mobile phone and computers.

Recovery diodes

05 June, 2003

International Rectifier has introduced a family of standard-recovery diodes in a stud-mount DO-5 plastic-cap case.

Barrier Diode

10 July, 2001

Rohm has recently developed a Schottky barrier diode (RB063L-30) that has both a low VF (forward voltage) and low IR (reverse current).
